Single Figurine Horse "Maestoso", Boettger Stoneware
description
The figure "Horse Maestoso" is a famous sculpture by one of the most significant sculptors of the 20th century. Known for his vivid animal sculptures, Erich Oehme's craft between 1935 and 1952 was particularly devoted to horse figures. Models were always celebrities from breeding and dressage. The expressive figure "Horse Maestoso" was modeled on a Lipizzaner. The horse's temperament is shown in its movement, which represents a challenge for the embossers. The shaping of filigree legs and muscular body is a balancing act and requires a lot of experience and first-class craftsmanship. The moving sculpture is a true masterpiece of the fantastic work of the MEISSEN® porcelain manufactory.
